Mission Statement

The primary purposes of the Friends are charitable, literary, and educational and therefore intended to do the following:To foster the idea of the Maroa Public Library, as an active, dynamic, educational, and recreational force in the Maroa community and to encourage the Library's use as a center for the cultural and civic life of the community. To generate community and financial support for the objectives of the Maroa Public Library in any of its purposes and programs. To serve as a link between Maroa Public Library and the community it serves, interpreting each to the other. The Friends hold an annual book sale and cookie walk in addition to many other scheduled events throughout the year.

Meeting Dates and Events

Tuesday, 5pm September 12th in the Library community room.  We will use this time to set up for the annual book sale and discuss the future plans, leadership, and activities for the friends of the library.
